The stay at the Hotel Zur Pfeffermühle was a complete success. Great owner family and competent staff. Work is done here in all areas with a lot of heart and soul. The manageable size of the hotel also conveys a pleasant, family-like atmosphere. The premises are very beautifully designed and are super well-maintained; it is extremely clean everywhere. Particularly noteworthy here are details such as the hiking equipment in the room (backpack, poles) or the daily changing table settings for meals. Enjoyment is a top priority at the Pfeffermühle anyway. The fresh breakfast buffet is very impressive and is complemented by a large selection of (hot) drinks, including vegan alternatives. The option to have omelets, scrambled eggs, etc., prepared fresh and individually is also excellent. The evening menu was a highlight every time, which was always wonderfully put together and prepared or presented. A bonus point is the daily course/activity program. The deduction in points for sleep quality is due to the bed linen; it was, in our opinion, too warm and voluminous for this time of year. Conclusion: We would love to come back; one can only feel comfortable in this hotel!

I do 100+ nights in hotel a year for Work, my wife and I stayed here for a ski holiday, and it will be one of the most memorable hotels I have stayed at ever. It is a bit out of the way, so it's quiet at night (hotel shuttle is very effective, great walks from the hotel) and the food is impeccable. One of the best breakfasts, and incredibly good dinner service every night. The spa in the basement has 2 saunas (60C and 90C), steam room, and a huge relaxation room with different chair options. The attention to detail is lovely, and they are so kind. So many places in Europe we Americans complain the service isn't fantastic, well here it's some of the best in the western world.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Zur Pfeffermühle in February and it was one of the highlights of our trip (second only to the skiing). The hotel is surrounded by stunning views that adds a sense of calm to the stay, and this is really the ethos of the hotel. The staff were kind, thoughtful and always willing to help; the rooms are stunning in their layout and design; the cleaning staff always had creative designs with the duvets each morning; and the food was always 10/10. It meant there was a perfect sanctuary to come back to after a day on the slopes (particularly helped by the fantastic on-sight spa!). The shuttle between the main ski lift and the hotel was also seamless and made transport easy, however if you did want to walk into the main town then it is only a 20 minute walk and very easy route. In summary, it was a truly wonderful stay and we're already looking at when we can come back and experience more of this lovely area.

Sometimes there are hotels that simply stay in one's heart – and that is exactly how it is with the Pfeffermühle. We felt incredibly welcome and comfortable again from the very first moment. This house has something very special: a warmth, a cordiality, and a feel-good character that one only finds very rarely. For us, clearly more than 10 out of 10 points. A huge highlight was the food. Breakfast was a wonderful start to the day every morning, and the half-board in the evening was also simply magnificent. Everything was very delicious, high-quality, varied, and prepared with so much love. You noticed every day that work is done here with passion. At least just as special is the entire team. Truly every single employee was warm, friendly, attentive, and incredibly pleasant. The service was top-notch at all times, but never stiff or impersonal. Exactly this natural warmth made our stay so special for us. We would also like to explicitly mention the housekeeping – simply absolutely fantastic. Everything was always sparkling clean, well-maintained, and lovingly prepared. You can tell throughout the entire hotel how much value is placed on details and quality. What also touched us very much was the atmosphere in the hotel as a whole. Not only the team, but also the interaction with the other guests was especially warm and pleasant. You start a conversation, you laugh with each other, and somehow this beautiful feeling of having truly arrived develops very quickly. The Pfeffermühle is therefore much more to us than just a hotel. It is a place we love to think back on and would certainly like to return to. Many thanks to the entire team for this wonderful time, the warmth, the great food, the magnificent service, and this special feeling of being allowed to be a guest. ❤️

The hotel was very well appointed and immaculate! The staff was beyond helpful, nice, and hospitable. I will absolutely return!

We were already there for the 2nd time at the Pfeffermühle and love it. The food, the service, the ambiance is very, very good and we felt totally comfortable both times. A big plus point is that we were allowed to bring our dog, even in the dining room. And there are additional dog bowls, pillows, and towels on site, so that you have to carry less with you. We will certainly come back a third time! :) The only small minor criticism for us, which is also very individual, is that the beds are rather soft.

Without a doubt the best experience we’ve had in a ski hotel! The service is perfect, the food was outstanding with a varied menu daily, the room was spacious and modern. Spa was lovely! We have no faults at all, and has set a new standard for ski hotels for us. Lovely touches included the herbal pillow menu, free ski lockers at the Nasserinbahn lift and a driver to and from ski lifts. In terms of practicality, a driver from the hotel will take you to the Nasserinbahn lift from opening to 11am, and then from 3pm - 5pm. Outwith those hours the free ski bus stops 50m from the hotel and runs every 30 mins (at night it’s hourly). Breakfast was incredible! If you have the chance to book this hotel, do it half board as the restaurant is one of the best in St Anton! Looking forward to returning again!

There is nothing, absolutely nothing, to criticize. The staff, from the housekeeping staff to the service staff, is super attentive, always friendly, and above all, very authentic. The cuisine is at a very high level. Any requests are fulfilled. An excellent hotel that is run by the family with a lot of love.

Everything about this hotel is exceptional – from the beautifully designed rooms with attention to every detail, to the amazing food, the relaxing sauna, and the warm, personal service from the staff. All of this is surrounded by the breathtaking Alps of St. Anton and endless opportunities for hiking and exploring. It has truly been one of the most wonderful family vacations we have ever had, and we are already looking forward to coming back again.

We were very well accommodated for 5 days! Everyone in the building was very friendly and the service was great.. The excellent food and the service from the warm-hearted Peggy were super great. We also really liked the room amenities, cleanliness, and the nice bed decorations. The special equipment, in the form of hiking poles, backpacks, etc., was also special. Excellent hotel, fantastic location, kind and helpful staff, very good restaurant. We were traveling with a dog and they provided us with a dog bed, a blanket, and bowls. Everything very clean. New spa, very clean environments, much appreciated upon returning from walks

We loved our four night stay over the holidays. The hotel is warm, welcoming and located in a beautiful setting. We highly recommend it.

We have already been to the hotel several times in the winter and were always very satisfied with the accommodation and catering. In the winter, we really appreciated the use of the hotel's own ski bus.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Zur Pfeffermuhle 1st week in March 2026. We had an amazing stay. The hotel is fabulous, situated in a very quiet area of St Anton a quiet 15/20 minute walk through a residential/hotel lined street (or riverside walk) away from the hustle and bustle of the lovely atmospheric centre of the town. The hotel operates a shuttle bus to and from the Nassarein Ski lift and is literally a 2 minute drive if that. Our room was on the 2nd floor, large, modern and very comfortable. The restaurant and comfortable modern bar area were great and the food was fantastic. They offer afternoon snacks 3-5pm, great coming off the mountain. The Wellness area and relaxation area is again modern and exceptional. Most of all our praise must go to all of the lovely staff who couldn’t do enough to accommodate guests and provide a very high level of hospitality. We have skied Austria every year for the past 35 years and this is up there as our best stay.

Highly recommended! Management and staff are very thoughtful, always keeping the guests' needs in mind! Very modern and stylish, yet traditionally designed rooms and hotel. Food is exceptionally good and creative. Simply a place to feel at home!

We enjoyed an all-around relaxing vacation in a great atmosphere. We were very impressed by the friendliness and the constant, honest efforts to provide the guest with a great experience. From the reception, to the service in the restaurant, to the cleaning staff; everyone was courteous and warm.

Really sweet hotel with a gorgeous view on the mountains. You can start your tour right there after a superbe breakfast, served by very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are nice, clean and comfy, the SPA area is not huge but it has everything you need and feels private. Dinner is a dream and the prices for snacks, drinks etc. are moderate as the quality is very high! Dogs and children are welcome. Thank your dear Pfeffermühle-Team, we will definitely come back :)

We stayed for 5 nights in the hotel for a wintersports trip with friends. We had 3 rooms with balcony which were really great. Beds are very comfortable and room was spacious. With half board we enjoyed a really extensive breakfast selection and the dinner every night was a feast! The walk-in till 8.30pm was very suitable for us as we liked to aim around 8pm due to some après ski. Overall we had a great stay with amazing hosts. A special thanks to Theodore for making our stay even more welcoming.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout the whole stay. The food was delicious and the whole setting was delightful.

Had a wonderful stay here. The staff were attentive, professional, and incredibly kind throughout our visit. We enjoyed our time so much that we even extended our stay. The rooms were very clean and modern, and we were impressed by how attentive housekeeping was—they serviced the rooms while we went down for breakfast, which was a nice touch. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious and truly a highlight of our trip. The shuttle to the Nassereinbahn and the heated ski locker made skiing very convenient. After long days on the mountain, the sauna and relaxation room were the perfect way to unwind. Overall, the hospitality and food were among the best parts of our trip.

So delighted with our stay here. From the moment we arrived, everyone was so friendly and helpful- offering advice for any questions we had. Breakfast was incredible, one of the party was vegan and exceptionally well catered for, as the manager/owner went round and showed exactly what they were able to eat. The room were comfortable and the spa was excellent. We will always come back here, we have zero criticisms!

Very friendly and attentive staff, relaxed welcome and introduction to the hotel's special features, always the same table for breakfast and dinner, diverse and varied selection of excellent quality at breakfast, excellent and extremely delicious set menu in the evening, and a large room with a beautiful view in top condition. We just got back from a short 2 night but fabulous stay at the Pfeffermühle. Perfect location, just on the outskirts of the town in a tranquil setting. The rooms are beautiful and very clean. A lot of detail to the towels, pillows and even the toilet paper. The staff members are ever so friendly, attentive and helpful. Breakfast and evening meals were very good. We cannot fault it , only recommend it.

... that was not least due to the good and rich food, the large TV in the room, fast Wi-Fi, but also the possibility to borrow non-existent hiking equipment free of charge and to relax in the sauna after completing the hike. The downside of it all - he is already pushing for the next booking.

We have already been to the Pfeffermühle several times and have now also spent our honeymoon there. We had a great room with a freestanding tub and a great view of the mountains! The food was perfect as always; our "special requests" were no problem for the hotel. What we liked particularly well: Since this year, the Pfeffermühle has been offering a great (free) program - yoga, sunrise hike, ... - on the one hand. On the other hand, one could also book e-bikes directly at the hotel for a small fee. For us, it was perfect again! We look forward to the next time!

Family-owned and meticulously maintained hotel. To say spotless is an understatement. Family members and other staff members were exceptionally polite and attentive. Rooms are clean and cozy. If you try, you cannot find one issue. Abundance of towels, hardwood floors, and heated floors. All is thought through like it's St.Rigis hotel. And the food that is served for breakfast adn dinner is out of this world. It truly feels as  Michellin star restaurant! Every day, different courses were served, sourced from local farms and businesses.  It was just exceptional room and board in one of the best places to ski.

We stayed at Zur Pfeffermühle for one night on our way back from a road trip — and what a boutique gem! Our room was newly renovated and beautifully designed, with clear intent and attention to detail: from the bathroom tiles to the furniture. The service was impeccable and the staff extremely friendly, making us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. The food was excellent, with real care for quality. Thank you for creating such a special place. We loved every moment and will definitely return when we are in the region!
