Achieving more together - Climate Alliance Austria

Sustainability is more than just a trend – it is an attitude. That is why Hotel zur Pfeffermühle is delighted to now officially be part of a strong network of committed companies as a member of Climate Alliance Austria. Together with other hosts in St. Anton am Arlberg, we are sending a clear signal for climate protection, sustainable hospitality and responsible business practices. 

Why this is important to us

The Alpine region is one of Europe's most climate-sensitive areas – changes in the climate have an earlier and more severe impact here than elsewhere. For us as hosts, this means that we must act today in order to continue offering the same diversity of nature, experiences and hospitality that you value so much tomorrow. Joining the Climate Alliance is precisely where we come in: raising awareness, developing measures, taking responsibility. 

Our measures – clear and tangible

As part of the Climate Alliance process, we have worked with experts to draw up a climate plan that defines specific steps for greater sustainability in our business. These include:

• More efficient energy and water consumption
• Promotion of climate-friendly mobility
• An increased proportion of regional and seasonal products
• Measures for waste prevention and circular economy
• Raising awareness among our employees and guests

With these measures, we are not only contributing to climate protection, but also creating an even more conscious, high-quality guest experience that combines an appreciation for nature and culture. 

Achieving more together

Our membership was part of a joint project between KLAR! Arlberg Stanzertal, the St. Anton Tourism Association and the Tyrol Climate Alliance. Workshops and exchange formats enabled us to network with other tourism providers, learn from each other and develop creative solutions – a powerful example of regional climate protection with a sustainable perspective. 

We are proud of this step and look forward to continuing to work with you to make the Arlberg a climate-friendly and liveable place.
