For Winter Enthusiasts

Skiing at Arlberg

Boasting both perfectly groomed pistes and exhilarating deep snow slopes, St. Anton is a winter dream come true. With over 300 kilometres of pistes, the Arlberg ski area is a spectacular winter adventure playground for leisurely or fast-paced descents and exciting excursions into the powder in off-piste terrain (please be aware of the avalanche situation!).

The ski area offers a variety of gentle slopes for beginners, challenging descents for seasoned skiers, impressive fun parks and record-breaking steep slopes. The dimension of the Arlberg ski area becomes clear with a glance at the places it connects.

Past imposing peaks, it stretches from St. Anton via St. Christoph to Stuben, Zürs and Lech to Schröcken and Warth. By the way, the "Run of FAME" provides the perfect opportunity to explore the entire ski area: The 85-kilometre round trip with an elevation change of 18,000 metres leads from St. Anton/Rendl via Zürs and Lech to Warth-Schröcken and back. The legendary ski circuit called "The White Ring" is shorter. It features 22 kilometres of pistes and covers 5,500 metres of elevation gain, plus stops worth seeing such as the viewing platforms at Rüfikopf and Madloch. As you can see, your ski holidays in St. Anton offer a huge diversity of options!

Winter Hiking

Are you looking for a gentle winter experience in Tirol? There are a lot of activities off the ski slopes such as winter hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. 80 kilometres of winter hiking trails are perfect to connect with nature. Several paths lead directly past the Hotel zur Pfeffermühle. One of them is the Jakobusweg, which partly follows the famous Way of St. James. Our tip: Join a guided winter hiking or snowshoe tour and discover completely new perspectives of the Arlberg nature.

Cross-Country Skiing

There is also a lot to explore on the cross-country ski trails in and around St. Anton. For example, many people find out that cross-country skiing involves a surprisingly large number of muscles. The region boasts a network of over 40 kilometres of cross-country ski trails, with the Stanzertal trail only a few steps from the hotel.

Tobogganing

The floodlit natural toboggan run on the Gampen, St. Anton's local mountain, is great fun for young and old alike. The family-friendly toboggan run starts at the valley station of the Nasserein cable car, which is a 15-minute walk or a short ride with the private shuttle from the hotel. The gondolas transport you up the mountain or you can hike up to an elevation of 1850 metres within two hours. From the top, the toboggan run winds its way down to the valley.

Even more action

Ski touring, ice skating, ice stock sports, a horse-drawn sleigh ride or a visit to the Arlberg WellCom Wellness Centre in St. Anton: Your winter holidays in St. Anton offer endless recreational opportunities. Even in a snowstorm there's plenty fun to be had in the winter sports mecca at the Arlberg: The "arl.rock" sports centre offers tennis, squash, bowling and a bouldering hall, and the "arl.park" trampoline hall provides exhilarating jump experiences.
